Terms & Licensing

By accessing and using The Vault Stock content portal, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. These terms are legally binding, and failure to adhere to them may result in immediate suspension or termination of access, and/or legal action.

1. Permitted use

• Downloads from your membership are solely for the individual subscriber.
• Content may be used in line with the scope of the license you hold, whether personal, commercial or commercial extended.
• A Commercial license permits content use for client work, websites, advertising and other professional purposes.

2. Prohibited use

Under no circumstances may Vault Stock content, including images, stock videos, Canva templates, Lightroom presets, AI prompts and design assets, be:

• Uploaded, listed or redistributed on any other stock photography site, stock content platform or similar service, whether free or paid.
• Resold, sublicensed or repackaged as part of another stock or template offering.
• Shared with anyone who is not a paid subscriber, including by login-sharing, file transfers or group distribution.
• Uploaded, fed or processed through ChatGPT, Midjourney or any other AI tool to alter, regenerate, extend or train on the imagery, including to insert your own products into a scene.

Canva templates, Lightroom presets and other design resources may not be resold in their original form. Where a Commercial license has been obtained, templates may be modified and incorporated into client work, but not resold or redistributed as stock assets. Prints or physical reproductions of Vault Stock imagery may not be sold without prior authorisation under a Commercial license.

Standard editing is fine. You may adjust colour, crop, exposure and retouch our imagery in editing tools like Lightroom or Photoshop. What you may not do is run it through AI systems to change or regenerate it. To place your own products into our photography, use Creative Studio, our own tool licensed for exactly that.

3. Network marketing & direct selling

• Where content is used by members of network marketing, direct selling or MLM organizations, use is restricted to team-wide distribution only.
• Company-wide or downline-wide distribution is strictly prohibited. Content cannot be repackaged, circulated or rebranded for an entire organization or across multiple teams.
• Each user must hold an active membership or appropriate license to access and use Vault Stock content individually.

4. Membership termination

Upon cancellation of a membership, all rights to download new content and to create new work using previously downloaded content immediately terminate.

Creator members

Social posts, website imagery, marketing materials and designs created during your active membership may remain in use indefinitely. No new content may be created using downloaded assets after cancellation.

Commercial members

All commercial use must cease on cancellation. Products for sale, client deliverables, team or downline materials, and any monetised content created using Vault Stock imagery must be removed. To keep commercial work live after cancellation, a Commercial Plus membership is required.

Commercial Plus members

All work created during your active membership may remain live indefinitely, including client work, products for sale and monetised content. An active membership is only required to create new work or download additional content.

5. Monitoring & enforcement

The Vault reserves the right to monitor usage of all downloaded content and take appropriate action in the event of a breach, including but not limited to revocation of access, termination of membership, and legal enforcement for damages and/or injunctive relief.

6. Licensing & commercial rights

• To use content for commercial purposes, you must hold an appropriate Commercial license.
• This license grants the right to use Vault Stock content in client projects, brand collateral, marketing campaigns or other commercial applications, subject to the restrictions above.
• Any use outside the scope of the purchased license constitutes a material breach of these terms.

7. Integrity of the brand

Vault Stock assets are curated and licensed exclusively for use by our members. These restrictions exist to protect the uniqueness, exclusivity and value of our content. By maintaining compliance, you help us preserve the integrity of our brand and offerings.

8. Bulk downloading

Systematic bulk downloading of our library with intent to cancel violates these terms and will result in immediate account termination without refund.

What each membership covers

Creator

For businesses and creators using imagery in their own marketing.

While your membership is active: unlimited downloads from both the authentic photography and AI-generated collections; create unlimited content for your own social media, website, marketing materials and email campaigns; use imagery as backgrounds, decorative elements, in posts and ads.

After your membership ends: everything created during your active membership can remain live indefinitely. Social posts stay published, website imagery stays on your site, marketing materials and email campaigns already in circulation can continue to be used. You cannot create new content using previously downloaded images, download additional images, or use imagery for new projects. In short, what you built stays live, but the tap turns off for new creation.

Commercial

For anyone creating products to sell, doing client work, or supplying team or downline materials.

Who needs it: graphic and web designers, content creators selling products or templates, anyone doing paid client work that incorporates our imagery, coaches and consultants creating paid programs, team-based businesses supplying downlines, and service providers whose deliverables include our imagery.

While your membership is active: everything in Creator, plus full commercial usage rights for both collections and the ability to create unlimited products, client work and team materials.

After your membership ends: all commercial use must cease immediately. Products for sale must be removed from all platforms, client deliverables and team materials must be pulled, and you cannot continue selling anything that incorporates our imagery. A Commercial license must remain active for as long as you are selling products, having clients use your deliverables, distributing to teams, or generating any revenue from work made with our content.

Commercial Plus

For commercial members who want their work to stay live after their membership ends.

While your membership is active: everything in Commercial, with full commercial usage rights across both collections.

After your membership ends: all commercial use can remain live. An active membership is only required to create new work with Vault Stock imagery. There are no exceptions for “I already created it”, “it’s just in my back catalog”, “I paid for an annual membership”, “the client already paid me”, or “it’s just AI images”. If you’re profiting from our content, you pay ongoing.

What you can never do

At any membership level, with any content type, you may not:

• Create prints to sell.
• Share, sell or redistribute raw files, authentic or AI-generated.
• Share login credentials.
• Claim our imagery as your own work.
• Use content in ways that compete with The Vault Stock.
• Bulk download with intent to cancel.
• Mix and match the rules between content types, AI-generated content follows the same rules as authentic photography.

Using imagery for vs in your business

Using imagery for your business needs a Creator membership. Your own social media, website and marketing, and what you publish stays live after cancellation.

Using imagery in your business to make money needs a Commercial membership. Products you sell, client work you charge for, and materials for paid programs. Nothing stays live after cancellation unless you hold Commercial Plus. This applies equally to authentic photography and AI-generated imagery.

A note on AI-generated content

Some members assume AI-generated imagery has different or looser restrictions. It does not. Whether imagery is created by our photographers or generated by AI, it is proprietary content owned by The Vault Stock, and the same usage rights, restrictions and commercial licensing requirements apply to both collections. AI-generated does not mean free to use however you want after download. We use human-directed AI to create exclusive content for our members, and that content is protected the same way our authentic photography is.
